In meiner Diplomarbeit beschäftige ich mich mit der Konzeption eines Studentenmagazins. Neben den üblichen Funktionen soll es dazu dienen die Studenten in die Stadt, in der sie studieren zu integrieren. Oftmals sind dies Städte, die aufgrund von Neugründung einer Hochschule bisher keine Erfahrungen mit Studenten haben. Es bilden sich neue Szenen und Kulturen rund um die Studenten. Ein Magazin kann dabei helfen diesen Prozess zu beschleunigen. Gerade wenn das lokale Angebot noch etwas dürftig ausfällt ist es sinnvoll den jungen Erwachsenen Kanäle zu bieten, auf denen man Entdecktes und Erfahrenes kommunizieren kann.

In the course of my work, I was thinking about a concept for a student magazine. Besides the usual functions, it has to integrate the diverse students in the environment they live as as well as study in. Often, these agglomerations have little to no experience with students as they usually are temporary residents only present for the course of university studies.
They offer new scenes and cultures around them and a magazine aimed to this group will help them process this and integrate in the community much more efficiently. It is of the utmost importance, especially when the local authorities fail to convey the information concisely, it is useful for young adults to have access to other channels on which they can communicate and live new experiences.
